Spring Creek Prairie @ Norwood Park

Jul 9 – Jul 13 all-day

We will spend the day at Spring Creek Prairie learning about birds, insects, & bugs that are native to Nebraska. Students will explore nature using all 5 of their senses along with incorporating physical movement, science, and art. Please have your student come dressed to be outdoors; sunscreen, and closed toe shoes will be necessary!

Sports Week @ Norwood Park

Jul 16 – Jul 20 all-day

Join us as we learn alittle bit about various sports! Soccer, football, basketball, baseball, softball you name it…we’ll give it a try. Our field trip to Creighton will include a provided picnic lunch.

Broadcasting Week @ Norwood Park

Jul 23 – Jul 27 all-day

We will work on public speaking, planning a broadcast, using a green screen & making a news presentation to the residents at Mahoney Manor. We will also tour NET News station & KZUM Radio Station. Focus will also be on potential job option & skills related to broadcasting.

H2O Week @ Norwood Park

Jul 30 – Aug 3 all-day

We will explore how/if things float, practice our origami and make boats. We will plan an afternoon of water play & plan a fun afternoon for the Early Learning Center at NFC. We’ll end the week by taking a field trip to the spray ground!
